Tania Pieri recently worked on the new musical ‘Paris Snow’ where she had the pleasure of creating the role of Betsy, a strong and feisty New Jersey girl.
Tania has worked professionally as a dancer, actress and singer for many notable productions and choreographers throughout her career. As an original cast member of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End production Bombay Dreams she performed as swing, assistant dance captain and cover ‘Munni’. Other distinguished roles include Swing/Cover ‘Kelsi’ in High School Musical (Original UK Tour), ‘Margarita’ in West Side Story (Larnaca Festival, Cyprus) and performances for film and television including The Royal Variety Performance, The Olympics Opening Ceremony and most recently The Halcyon (ITV).
Tania first trained at the Lupino Dance School before taking a full-time place at North Cheshire Theatre School with David Johnson (acting) and David Needham (dance). After her appearance in Bombay Dreams, Tania went on to further her training at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, gaining a 1st Class BA Hons degree.
Since graduating, Tania has continued to work steadily in all fields of professional theatre, including dancing for pioneering UK Lindy hop company The Jiving Lindy Hoppers and performing at Buckingham Palace for the Queen with Nutkhut Bollywood Company. Tania currently performs with the Swing Time Jivers for Ray McVay and the Glenn Miller Orchestra and for Martine Pisani Company in France.
Tania’s creative work includes choreography for film and theatre as well as song-writing for voice and guitar. She is currently furthering her skills by studying at the Brighton Jazz School as a vocalist and recently performed her own work at the St Leonards Festival.
